Optical measurements of 3D coordinate are used in the same way as classical 3-coordinate measuring devices. The object is recorded using a high resolution camera and the recorded images are processed using a software package that accurately determines 3D coordinates of selected points.
Optical measurements of 3D coordinate are suitable especially for:
- Measuring object for which usual measuring methods cannot be used;
- Controlling parts made of sheet metal, optimisation of production procedures and tools;
- Measuring tube profiles and wires in 3D form;
- Measuring of cut edges of 2D sheet metal products
